Milk began as a university short film project but grew into a larger production, supported by a fundraiser and previewed in a cinema setting. I joined the team during my first year after becoming interested in motion capture production at the university studio. My role expanded into leading the environment work, coordinating with character artists and the wider production team, supporting the render process, and help with some mocap data clean-up. I was also involved directly in the mocap process, even performing as one of the monster character. Although very early in my career, this project became an important standard for how I approach production today: communicating across disciplines, taking ownership of a visual area and helping move a project from concept through to final delivery.
